In 2015, ICFPA members have decided, during the 7th Annual Meeting, that although ICFPA does not have a common statement on biotechnology, it should continue the exchange of information on the developments of biotechnology and explore opportunities for dialogue with other stakeholders. During the Advisory Committee on Sustainable Forestry Industry (ACSFI) meeting, it was recommended to FAO to continue working as neutral policy platform and convene an expert dialogue between stakeholders regarding this topic.
